At >a special meeting of the Ngaraura Maori Sports Club, £50 was- voted to the patriotic fund. Mr Wakarua was appointed to hand the same over to the Mayor of the town on belialf of'the club. A cheque for £50 was duly handed to the Mayor (Mr T. B. "Williams) yesterday. The Mayor expressed his warn apprecia. lion of the generous contribution," and desires on belialf of the committee to thank the club for its welcome and practical demonstration of loyalty, and patriotism.
