The Court of Appeal of British Columbia uraanimouslv decided against the Hindus aboard The Komagatn Maru boing allowed to land. The cour£ held that the. Order-in-Couneil prohibiting the admission of Asiatics- w.a.s good, and had full effect. The Hindus did net possess tho necessary amount of money to -permit them to land in Canada, and had not made a direct' journey to the country. The majority were imskiiled labourers, and, therefore, were temporarily barred under any circumstances.
