AT CHHISTCHURCH.

CHRISTCHURCH, May 20. The Glasgow Coffee Palace '•• Private Hotel in Manchester St. was destroyed by fire,early this evening.- It was a two-storied buikiing of 14 rooms on the first floor. The ground floor wa» used as a restaurant. The fir© originated near the bathroom. When the brigade arrived on the scene; the flames had gained a firm hold on the wood«n framework. The blaze was extinguished very promptly, hut thexbuilding was practically gutted. The furniture and fittings were insured for £250 in the Norwich office. The tenant estimates his loss at £100.
