GREAT HOLIDAY PROGRAMME TONIGHT.
Visitors to Wanganui ViU bo sure of a first-class evening's entertainment as a wind-up after the races by visiting the Opera House this evening. The Royal Pictures will present a cornpleto change, when the star attraction will be " Sherlock Holmes arid the Speckled Band," a, mystery play from Conan Doyle's exciting detective story. This picture drew large audiences at tho Lyric Theatre at Auckland, and should l>c welcome to all picture-goers. The supporting pictures include another star " .feature by the Kalem. Company entitled "Explosive D," "The Topital Budget" (showing tho 'latest London happenings) ; " A Trip Through Lower Brittany." Tho comedy picture, "A Campromising Complication," "The Vapour Batn' and "Double Crossed/ will provide amusement for everyone. The speciality of the Gazza Trio will be included in this evening's programme. These artists will appear to-night and on -Saturday- The programme should draw largo audiences both to-night and on Saturday. The box plan is at Messrs H. I. Jones and Son.
