THE INGLEWOOD EMBEZZLEMENT CASE.
ACCUSED yOUND GUILTY

NEW PLYMOUTH, May 19
In tha Supreme Court to-day, William Do Grouchy Ogier was found guilty on six charges of embezzling the funds of the Inglewood Borough Council and the Moa Road Board, to which he was clerk for years. The amount of the defalcations was over £600.* Accused pleaded that he had got into financial difficulties due to drink. The jury recommended the accused to mercy, on +he ground that he had repaid the money. Sentence was deferral. %
