'"WASHINGTON, May IS. Ninety American refugees escaped on board "the Cetriana, a British steamer, while an angry Mexican mob at Mazaliijlo threatened to board the vessel and sink her. The vessel y> as actually m*•d'ermined and dynamite placed beneath it. A Mexican steamer laden with inflammables cast anchor ten feet from the Cetriana, .but Lieutenant Minister, ci the British, Naval Reserve, manoeuvred the Cetriana out of danger, as the American warship Raleigh uvnved. As the Cetriana was leaving the Mexicans despatched a steamer with the apparent intention .of ramming the Cetriana, but a rifle fusillade permitted the vessel to get clear.
