FREEMAN R. JACKSON AND CO.'S STOCK REPORT.

At our Wanganui sale on Bth inst., we had a full yarding, namely 850 mixed cattle, 4900 sheep and 130 pigs. The attendance Avas goodl and bidding free throughout. A nice line of fat and forward bullocks on account of Mr A. E. Montgomerie were much admired and stud -after the auction with the exception of a small pen at £9 per head. Other classes of cattle sold at ruling rates. Sheep sold readily and Avith the exception of a pen of ewes \ve report a tota^ii 'clearayfoe.

At Waverley sale on 9th inst. we yarded 630 head of cattle and 1500 sheep. We had a good attendance of buyers. Some good lines of cattle yarded met a ready sale. Sheep sold at ruling prices. We quote:—Fat heifers £7, fat Jbeifers (light) £6 to £6 7s 6d, fat coavs £6 ss, 2 to 2J-year steers £5 4s to £5 ss, 2£-year steers £5 lls, 2^-year Polled Angus steers £6 17s, 3^-year fat and forward P.A. steers £9, fat and forward Shorthorn steers £9, weaners 28s to 30s, Aveaneov heifers (dairy sorts) £2 os to £2 7s 6d, Aveaners (small) 16s to 20s, yearling steers £3, forward coaa's £4 10s, store ooavs £3 to £3 10s, milch ooavs £4 los to £7, bulls £5 to £6, vealers 25s to 30s.
