A MYSTERIOUS DEATH.
DUNiEDIN DOCTORS MUZZLED
(For Press Association.^ pVNEDIN, April J3. Peculiar circumstances were ro/ealed this morning at the inquest on. Samviel Shirxa Horace Kirkland, the jmiaiug student who was found dead in bed n Sunday morning. Doctors who conducted the post-mortem examination stated that the body was well nourished and well developed muscularly, a'l the internal organs and the brain were normal, and they were at a loss t» olbcouut for the. cause of death. Particular attentioi/ was paid to th© heart, fiom which, it was supposed that deceased bad been suffering, but it.was found qw.'te normal, and all the valves were in \.-ptfect condition. A suggestion was made that death might have been due to poisoning, but the doctors said that the examination had been most careful, and there was nothing to indicate poisoning, adding, however, that the only test for that would be a chemical analysis of the contents of the stomach. At the request of the police, the inquest was adjourned sine die to allow of an analysis to be imiade. • ~
