AVANGAEHU SPORTS

The first annual sports of the Wangaehu Sports and Pastimes Society will be held in Mr S. Wbodell's paddock (next railway station) on Thursday, April 2nd. The detailed programme is published in another portion of this issue, and it will be seen that a very liberal prizeJist has been drawn up, a prize-list which should be successful in drawing a large number of outside competitors and the general Diiblic. There will be pedestrian races, flat and hurdle, and there also figure on the programme horse-riding and jumping competitions. Intending competitors are notified that entries for all running events close on Thursday next, 26th inst. # .
