FARMERS OF THE FUTURE.

BOYS IN CAMP

WANGANUI GETS A WIN

The agricultural camp at Almadale concluded yesterday, and a most successful camp it proved to be. Judging of horses and cattle for gold medals took place, and a good deal of interest, is being centred in the cards which the boys had to fill in, as a result of their operations. These cards are to be adjudicated upon, by capable judges, who also examined the animals that came up for judging. The results will be made known later. A gold medal was also donated by Mr. Perrett for the best behaved and most industrious boy in the camp1, and by the Feilding A. and P. Association, for most points in judging. Mr' Fred Pfcnani, >cha, irinain of the Board, and Mr G. D. Braik, Director of Education, attended the camp, and the former gave an address to the lads and thanked all who had taken interest in the camp, and congratulated the boys upon their good behaviour. In presenting Mr Perrett's medal to the winner, Gwynne Bilinghurst, of the Wanganui Technical College, Mr Pinani congratulated him on the possession of unselfishness, good nature and industry, three qualities which would help him considerably in his future career.

Cheers were then given for Mr. E. Short, the instructors, the judges, the visitors, the medal-donors, and the winner of the medal presented.

Ken Belfit won l6<?. presented by Mr E. Short for a chain-stepping competition.
