WELLINGTON, March 9. A squall area passed in the south yesterday and strong north-westerly winds changed rather suddenly to south-easter-3y. Shwoers were experienced during the night in several parts of the country. The barometer is now above norlnal, and high in the south. Present indications ar o for fair to cloudy wea--ther generally, with moderate to strong ta south-easterly winds, changing by east to north for 24 hours, when the Txarometer is likely to fall steadily in the south. A storm area is due to pass in the south in the latter part of the week. Kaikonra, due March 10th, left Lontlon January 22nd, via Hobait. Star of Scotland, March 12th, from London. ' Athenic, MarcE 24th, from London.
