THE WEATHER
WELLINGTON, February 16
Rain fell in the northern and (East .Coast districts of the North Island on Saturday, buirvery warm and fair to cloudy weather has since ruled. The barometer has been above normal and variable winds have prevailed. Present indications are for increasing mist and cloudiness with rain following, especially in the North Island, winds variable but moderate to strong, northeast to southeasterly prevailing, barometer failing in the North and imsteady in the South.
