OTAGO v. CANTERBURY

The cricket match between Canterubry and Otagq was resumed this morning in fine weather. The former, who had eight wickets down for 332, continued the innings, which closed an hour and a half later for 442 (Thomas 77, Bennett 58). Otago in the first innings compiled 195 (Chadwick 71, Higgins 40, Alloo 37, Torrance 21). Otago, being 247 in (arrears, followed on, and after two hours* play had lost 3 wkts. for 141 runs .(Tuck-well 5:2, McFarlane not out 56).
