LADIES' CLASSES IN FIRST AID.
In order that country ladies interested in first aid and home nursing may have an opportunity of attending classes in these subjects, the. superintendent of the Ladies' Division of the St. John's Ambulance Association is calling a meeting for Wednesday next at 3 p.m., at the Technical College, to see whether there will bo sufficient support to establish such classes. The work carried on during the 1913 season was extremely interesting and successful; and it is hoped that the sphere of usefulness of the Association will be widened by getting the interest of country ladies who come into town in large numbers on market day (Wednesday). In 'the country, -where doctors and nurses are not readily available, a knowledge of first aid and home nursing is especially necessary, and this is an opportunity not to be lost. Dr. Elizabeth Dunn will be in attendance at the preliminary meeting next Wednesday at 3 p.m.. to explain the nature and scope of the proposed classes.
