CONCILIATION COMMISSION.
(Per Press Association.) DUN-EDIN, February 13, Mr J. R. Tiiggs, Conciliation Commissioner, concluded bis sitting herein day. A matter left over from the previous day, that of the glaziers being in-, eluded in the. painters' award, was referred to the Arbitration Court. A new subject brought under the Commissioner's notice was & dispute between the Ofaago Shipwrights' Union and a number of employers. It was decided to confer in private and an agreement was finally arrived at. It was agreed that the rate of pay for journeymen shipwrights or boatbuiiders employed on either new or repair work should be Is 7d per hour; the rate of pay for seagoing shipwrights should be—chief ov only. shipwright, £11 per calendar month; assistants £8; overtime to be paid at time and a half up to midnight and double after midnight; apprentices to be paid—for.first year 10s p«r ■■■•''•(:, fourth year 22s 6d. fifth year 27s 6d; fourth year 22s 6d .fifth year 27s 6d; the award to come into force on March 1913 and to continue until March Ist, 1916.
