BARTON BROS.' CIRCUS TO-NIGHT.

Barton's Circus will make their first appearances at Aramoho Tuesday, Dte. Kith, for ono night only. Location at tho Zoo. On tho occasion of their last visit to Wanganui tho troupe gave evi'ionco of being somewhat above the average of travelling shows, and during tho months that have elapsed they havo maintained their reputation. Indeed, Barton's Circus, on its present visit to tho town, brings even a better show— tho result of careful selection in the world of equestrianism and general aicnie art. Thoso who like to see a circus — and who do not?—should certainly avail themselves of tho opportunity of doing so to-night. Mr. A. O. Wisling recently returned to Xew Zealand from ji tour in search of fresh attractions, and so successful was his quest that a great improvement, ft is stated, has been effected even noon its former good showing. The new organisation includes artists who havo gained a big reputation in tho principal centres abroad, tho majority of whom have recently made; their initial appearance in the Dominion under the Barton regime. Among tho most conspicuous of tho new performers are: Tho famous Ash ton company, consisting of six young lady acrol>ats and gymnasts; the Waldorf troupe (eight in number) of white stating performers with limelight effects (direct fa-o.m FilfoV Circ'ius, South Africa); and Miss Ethel Ashton, sensational flying trapezist. Queensland Harry will ride celebrated outlaws, and win stako £25 to ride any outlaw or buckjumper in an English hunting saddle. A challenge of £50 to all other riders j.i issued. The circus will play at Marton Wednesday, 17th. Bulls 18th, Rongoiea 19th, and Feilding 20th.
