An exceedingly fine programme was tji tx-jmed to the numerous natrons of H"s _ Majesty's Theatre last " evening. Varied and pleasant were' the items on the ieu programme, and while some,of the pictnos were awesome.and tlirilliai, cllu.'is were deiightfur representations, making a very fine series all through. Vitagraphs predominated, and this fact alone causes the programme i.i bo iacr/aimed one of tho best, for the popularity of the American company's picture plays is undoubted. They capably headed the list with "Wild Animals at Large," 2000 ft of great excitement, laud very laughter raising. I lie film deals with the wreck of a train whereby a number of animals, lions, bears, etc.. are released. Occasionally a lion is seen to exchange compliments with c. bear, while the snarling of a hyciirt causes a herd of kangaroos to seal pest making their way up the lank towards the town, followed by tho rest of the medley of strange creatures. Vitagraph No. 2 was Ihe Love cf Chrysanthemum," a charming tale of Japan produced in a very pretty setting, and screened to the strain s of "The Geisha" music played by the efficient orchestra. Knlem scored a distinct success with" "The Christian," & beautiful picture. The other subjects on the rn'ogranimo Were very fine. This splendid series will be again shown to-morrow evening only, as the theatre is engaged for the Convent entertainment to-night.
