LONDON, Dec. 14. •Miss Bradford, whose body was found tied in a sack in a Liverpool canal and in connection with whose murder a packer named 'Eltoft has been remanded, was aged 35. She was the manageress of her mother's tarpaulin works. She. was accustomed to wait at the office until the closing. Two young packers on Wednesday also remained. One has been arrested, and the other, named George Sumner. is missing. The ;j->lre sminLe that Miss Bradford was preparing to leave when she was stunned by a club and brutally bludgeoned to ■dieath. In their hur.iiy the (mprderers thrust her umbrella, with the body into a sack, which they wheeled in a handcart for three-quarters of a mile through crowded streets to the canal. Despite tho fact that it was weighted, with two iron bars, the sack floated, and the body got jammed in the lock gates, otherwise it would probably have been swept out to sea. The handcart and bludgeon have since been f<ound. Gan^f.deiiahle money is missing.
