Herr Erzbenger, leader of the Centre Party, pleading in the Reichstag for the abolition of tho duel, said an institution existed in Berlin for hiring so-called men of honour to lead wives to infidelity thus .providing indefensible grounds for a duel. He added that the police mid Public Prosecutor were aware of the institution's existence.
