In the devotional exercises and the sermons, special reference was made to the League's aims- At Christ Church yesterday morning the secretary of the local branch of the League, the Rev. Cyril Harvey, said in the course of a sermon that 55 churches in the "Waiiganui district, 60 churches in the. AVe-llington. district and 135 churches in the country districts, or 240 churches in the Wellington diocese were participating in the observance, while churches throughout the Dominion were also takiug part.
