At the boxing conference power was given to a referee to have a contestant who is counted out as the result ot a blow which in his opinion was foul, and which the referee was unable to see struck; examined by a doctor, it the claim i.-i upheld such contestant to bo awarded the contest. A knock-out was made to include the stopping of a contest by r.ny official owing tea contestant being considered in an unfit condition to continue. The amended rules are to come into operation on the Ist of November.
