BUTTER FAT COMPETITION.
SIXTEEN ENTRIES FOR PALMER-
STON SHOW.
The butter-fat competition held annually in connection with the Manawatu Agricultural and Pastoral Association,*; sp'mg show promises this year to bo kcer.ly contested. Sixteen entries have come to' band, the breeders being:— Messrs. W. I. Lovelock (Tiakitahuna) 2, F. Roberts (Rangiotu) D. Buchanan (Tiakitahuna) 2, W. Anderson (Aoki'litcre). A. Harrowfield (Palmerston), A. H. ILilcombc (Urenui) 2) F. W. Anderson (Longburn), S. R. Lancaster (Aukautere) 2, Hamlin Bros. (Kaiinataifiu) 2, A. Gray (Kelvin Grove). R. G. Ifarkness (Te Horo). The cows are to be located at Mr. H. Stratford's farm, at Awapuni, for ten days from October 27. The prize money is very liljeral. For the owner winning tho champion-
