DISASTROUS STORM.
(United Press Association —Copyright.) Received 9-40 p.m.. October 7. NEW YORK, October 6. The town of Nome, in Alaska, has largely been wiped out by a great storm. Tremendous seas broke over the water front. Vessels have been sent to bring off the inhabitants desirous of leaving.
