Wanganui, who won by 17 points to 3. , It had no attraction for • the public, however, only two or three hundred spectators being present. The local team were weakened by the n«*>' of men playing against Canterbury on . Saturday. In the first spell the local men put up a bit of a fight, and half-time arrived with the scores three all. In the second spell the locals faded away, and Wanganui were handling the ball much b'e£ter and generally out-class-ing their opponents. In the first spell Wellington opened" the scoring through the medium of a passing rush by Sullivan, Young. Beard and Cunningham, the latter getting over. Capper's attempt at goal failed. Temperton made a dash for the Wellington goal Hue, but was hushed out. after a good run. Wellington became aggressive, but,the effort was only spasmodic. Then R.
