WELLINGTON, September 13,

The New South Wales League team met and defeated Wellington to-day *»n a fine day and ground. The visitors were far superior to the opposition, and had no difficulty in registering a win by a substantial majority, though in the second spell the local team played much better football than in the first. The visitors displayed a rare turn of speed and also accuracy in passing and taking the ball. The scores were registered, with great ra,pidity throughout the afternoon, the game ending—N.S.W. 34 y Wellington 18.
