Referring to the discarding of frozen mutton by the Admiralty in favour of beef , the Hon. Mackenzie has asked the War Office" if it is satisfied that genuine New Ze-aland mutton where so .specified has been supplied, adding tbav if so ho is surprised at the- War (Miets refusing it, considering that New Zealand mutton and lamb is coming kicreasingly into public favour. He also asks whether the meat has been properly treated for cooking purposes.
