STOCK REPORTS
Dalgety and Company, Ltd., Palmerston North, have to report having a medium entry of sheep and cattle at their Palmerston North sale on Thursday, the 11th ins'f., which sold as follows :—
Small mixed hoggets to 13s 3d, fair mixed hoggets to 155., store cows £2 17s to £4 os., small 2-year steers £4, small yearling steers £2 175., empty heifers C 3 6s.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Ajreney Co., Ltd.. report:—
Ay Palmerston North on Thursday v,e had a small entry of sheep and a good yarding of cattle. Owing to the inclement weather there was a small attendance of buyers, and bidding was inclined to drag. Several lines, however, were quitted after the sale, and very little went out unsold. Quotations:—
Sheep: Hoggets good 17s 3d, tat welhsr 22s 6d to 30s 3d. rams 18s.
Cattle: Aged cows £2 35., store cows £3 Us to £4 Is., cows in calf £4.125, light fat cows £5 4s, backward heifers in calf £32 2s to £3 14s 6d, small yearlings 38s 6d, yearling steeirs £3 to £3 2s 6d 3 2h to 3 year steers £6.
