WANGANUI ASSOCIATION.
A special mooting of the delegates of llio Wanganui Hockey Association was held on Tuesday evening, there being ■ present: Messrs. Gower (in the chair), Fisher and Connell (Main Trunk); Shields and Mart-is (United); Russell find Blarnpied . (St. Paul's); Morgan (Hincmoa); Ellison and Scott (Phoenix); McDowell (Federal); A. Spurdle and Berry (Post Office); Winston© (Chemists); Marshall (Old Girls); Larking (Girls' College); Coipo and Brown (Wanganui Ladies); Burnio (Sherwood Ladies), and the secretary (Mr. P. Bennett). Secretaryship.—Tho secretary stated that ho had decided to continue his duties as Mr. E. Morgan had generously offered to assist him during the tour- j ney. Mr. Morgan was appointed assist- j ant secretary. j Resigantion.—Mr. Larking tendered his resignation as a delegate to the Association, and also as selector. It was decided" to record on the minutes Mr. [ Larking's valuable services to hockey. ! Mi. E. Marshall was elected to the selection committee- in place of Mr. Larkinor. Racecourse Grounds.—Very lengthy discussion followed the report of the Grounds Committee in reference to the Racecourse, the .matter being left over for further consideration till next meeting. Rep. Team.—lt wp.s decided to postpone the senior match on Saturday and to play tho junior games St. Paul's v. United and Hinemoa A. v. Hinemoa 8., so as to givo tho Xordern Cup team a practice game. Ladies' Tourney.—The following committees wero approved for the ladies' tourney:—-Management: Messrs. Spriggens (convenor), A. A. Gower, C Ford, and the secretary and treasurer. Grounds and Gates': Messrs. Gower (convenor), Snriggens. Morgan. Marshall. Ellison, and secretary and treasurer. Printing, Advertising, and Banking: Messrs. C. Newcombe, G. Barton, and secretary and treasurer. Billetting : ■Mr. N. McDowell (convenor), Misses McLean, G. Moore, E. Laird, Perrett, M. Gilbertson, .and Storey, and Messrs. Corpe, Smart. Kernohan, London, and A. Spurdle. Entertainment: Miss Duff (convenor"), Mesdamos Lsird, Sutherland, and Neylon,- Misses Beauchamp, I Sheehy, Laird, V. Tingey, Barnes, V. Collier, and McDonald; Messrs. McCarthy, Clarke, Blampied, Jones, Isitt, Spence, Winstone, McEhvain, E. Williams, and secretary and treasurer. REP. MATCH WITH MAIN TRUNK. Word was received yesterday that tho Main Trunk Sub-association aro unablo to play tho Wanganui B. reps, at Mangaweka on tho 31st.
