LIEDERTAFEL CONCERT.
WEDNESDAY EVENING. The first concert of the Liedertafel for this season will be given in the Opera House on Wednesday evening, ard the music-loving section of the community are assured of a first-class programme. Tho society., under the able baton of Mi". A. Wade, has been practising assiduously for some time'past, and the selections to be rendered are quite up to the usual high standard of this popular musical society. Besides the numbers to be produced by the members, tho society will have the assistance of Mfc", Muriel Bennett, one of the leading contralto singers of Wellington, and Mr. A. H. Ripley, of Auckland. a tenor, who comes here with a very high reputation. The concerts of the Liedertafel Society are always popular, and the pub; lie may rest assured the forthcoming concert "Will be quite up to the usual high standard. ■•■
