FIRE AT HUNTERVILLE.

ASCOT BOARDING HOUSE BURNED

MARTON, July 21

A fire broke out early this morning at Hunterville at the Ascot boardmghouse. with the result that the building was destroyed. The fire, wlirch is thought to have originated in the kitchen, spread so rapidly that to save the building was an impossibility.; Iho brigade with the assistance of willing hands did good work with an ample water supply, and had it not been for these energetv efforts, Cole and Wpoflley's shop "would also have gone. The heat was so intense that all the plate glass windows on the opposite side of the road were cracked, . while ■ two curtains at the Argyle Hotel caught fire and several windows were also cracked. The Ascot wa§ owned by Mr Weston and occupied by Mr R. Parker. The insurances on the buildings are riot available, but Mr PaS-ker, who is a very heavy loser, had £200 on the furniture in the Royal office. ■
