NELSON, July 21. There .is considera-ole adverse comment here concerning the leported laxity m vaccination at Wellington. Ar^ living passengers report it to be purely optional and many coming across the -Stnait are tinvaccmated. It is reported that a passenger arrived by the Pateeua on Saturday who had come from the King Country and had not ibeen asked to submit to vaccination or produce a certificate. The press urge greater stringency, and also that vaccinated persons be not allowed to travel until ; the elvmph has had sufficient time to tako effect.
