WAVERLEY, May 12. In tho course of his annual report to the iooal branch of th© Fanners' Union, the chairman. Mr A. Hojvie, said: "The Farmera' Firo Insurance Companies' .are making good progress, tho business *is increasing stoadily, reserves accumulating, and the premiums being lowered gradually as our positoai improves. For the AVellirigton district the premium on farm houses is 8s per cent., and farmers may rest assuredl that if-they give the/Mutual a loyal support they will in the near future get their dwelling insured on a 5s premium; as a matter of fact/that nate is alreindy established* in ■the Napier district on first-class risks."
