NAPIER HARBOUR BOARD.

NAPIER, April 30. Tho election of three members representing Napier Borough resulted: J. V. Brown 2278, J. J. Niven 1924, F. W. Williams 18-55, Wi. J\ McGrath 1854, J. D. Ormond 1817, H. J. Holder 1759, D. McGrath, jun. 380. Brown, Ormond and Holder advocated the completion of the breakwater harbour, and Messrs. Niven, Williamb and W. J. McGrath the construction of an inner harbour to admit vessv?j of deep draught. The election excited a great deal of interest owing to the rival tickets.
