SUPPOSED SUICIDE.

DUNEDIN; April 29.? A man named R. Irving Johnston, apparently between 35.' f an'dr4Q."years of age is supposed to have committed suicide in Gladstone Hotel this afternoon. The body was found on abed with a deep .wound in ,the throat' iind a razor lyirfg nlongside.. The de^ ceased arrived at thehptel on Tuesday and said he might stav^or a few weeks. He is said ..to T have : i been • somewhat .eccentric m.,nj|s; actions' and sayings: He did not have;meals in the hotel, and drank very little; Articles in his possession indicate that at one time he followed the occupation of a .commercial traveller. '
