The Bishop of Christchurch's Bill altering the method of appointments •of pastor to give greater powers to the bishops and clergy was read the third time and passed. The canon appointing the Maori mission board was* repealed.
Tht Primate and the- Bishop of Auckland expressed the hop(e. that wiork amongst the Maoris, especially in thfc Auckland diocese, would ibe supported. In the meantime, resolutions in these terms were adopted. The Synod ha s concluded: ■ •
