MARTON ATHLETIC CLUB.
Marton Junction Athletic Club held a very enthusiastic meeting to-ndght, and it was decided to hold the inaugural meeting on Fob. 26th. The programme arranged da most varied, and embraces all kinds of pedestrian and cycle events. There are to be competitions for amateurs and proefssionals, and fire brigade men returning from the Wanganui demonstration are being well catered for. The coming meeting has every prospect of being one of the best atheletic gatherings ever held in the district.
