THANKS.
(To tho Editor.) Sir, —Would you kindly grant me tho hospitality of your columns to thank Mrs. Comyns and those who so kindlyj responded to her appeal on my 'behalf; When one is laid aside by ill— ni^ss, sympathy is an invigorating tonk; and when it takes the practical form of a "substantial cheque it is all the more invigorating. I iam deeply thankful to all for the kind sympathy shown to me and regret that I am not able to write to each, but have to content' myself by thanking them in this public manner. I .assure them that my gratitude is none the less genuine on that account. I thank them each and all and bsg to assure them that I shall always treasure tho rememberance of their great kindness to me. I am thankful to say that I am slowly recovering, but I think surely my left arm and left leg which wero for some months quit© paralysed are gradualy regaining (strength, and usefulness, and the doctors encourage mo to hope that in a few months I shall be quite well again. Thanking you in anticipationj —I am, etc., G. R. F. NOBBS. Norfolk Island.
