THE DEADLY PEA RIFLE
NAPIER, Dec. 23
A lad named Harry Murrow,. aged 14, met with a serious accident yesterday. He was engaged in cleaning a pea -rifle, not knowing that it was loaded, and the cartridge, exploded, the bullet entering his stomach. He was removed to, a private hospital, but although- the! ;bullet has not yet been located, iie is not considered to be in immediate danger.
