LONDON, Dec. 23

Earl Crewe, in a letter .replying to Mr Bonar Law, said the manufacturers of the Dominions have the power to protect themselves against the Motherland's manufacturers, whereas Indian manufacturers lack the power to secure home markets. Iriclian manufacturers will defend themselves, but if Mr Bonar Law begins to negotiate he will find India eager for international freel trade, but will certainly--stipulate the same privileges as the self-governing colonies.
