KING'S PICTURES
Oood things in the picture line were promised'l>y the King's Picture management in the new change of programme, and there is no doubt that those who have attended can conecien.tiously say that .they were hot disappointed. The T>ieee de resistance is one of Edison's, "Master and Pupil." It is an excellent picture, and gives some idea of the expertness of liarry Fui'niss, the famous caricaturist. "Pickwick Papers Illustrated" was his subject and his dexterity with the brush was wonderful. "The Girl at the Oupola" was also a film of a very high order, and was quite in keeping with labour troubles^of to-day. Tlie ladies revelled in the latest Paris fashions, and so far «« the supporting films are concerned, they are all of a' very high order, and up to the standard which the King's management has set itself to maintain. The augmented orchestra is doing excellent work and affords groat pleasure to the very largo number of patrons who usually attend the various performances.
