_ Dalgety and Company, Limited Wellington have been advised by cable from their London office under date of 7th instant as follows:—
Wool sales closed firm and active with brisk competition. As compared with the closing rates of last scries good to super scoured merino 2$ p"r cent, to 5 per cent higher, medium ami inferior sorts 7* per cent higher. For greasy merino conibing price 5 per cent to 1\ percent higher, i-short wools 21 per cent to 5 per cent higher, and for heavy, earthy, ancl wasty wool 2£ per cent to 5 per cent higher.'
