Many houses bolted. The bail, which was (hem-egg size, pierced iron roofs and tanks and broke a ihnndred window®. It was roiled in heaps m the streets five Iwrars after the storm Trees were stripoed of their leaves and fruit. Water " percolated through roofs and flooded cellars. Great damage was done to stacks ,in some warehouses. A num-ber of flbuildSncp were -unroofed and da;maged'
