- . MARTON, October B. # rhero is no doubt that if the countryis to advance and its resources develope, there must- be closer settlement and the aggregation of big estates don© away with. Hunterville, in common with other places, recognises the important development that follows the settling of the small man on the fend and the Chamber of Commerce has, for'some time past, been moving in the* direction, of inducing the Government to purchase several large estates in the vicinity of Hunterville, which are considered most suitable for general farming. The matter has been placed before the Prime. Minister, and a renly has now been received from the Hon. Massey that enquiries are being made in tho direction indicated -by tho Huntervillo Chamber of Commerce.
