CONSTANTINOPLE, November 7

There is appalling misery in many provinces. Thousands of families are flyina; to the towns, and the mosques, schools and churches are crowded with refugees. Many children succumbed to the bitter weather. They lay down by the wayside to die. Some have been driven insane by privation.
