Mr L. N. Natusch is at present indisposed. He is suffering from a rather severe strain of one leg, which will necessitate a rest of a couple of weeks.
During the past month 28 building, 27 plumbing and 35 drainage permits were issued in tho borough. The value of the structures totalled £6184, and tho fees received were £12.
A draw in No. 1 grout) of the StarrBowkett Building Society was held on Tuesday evening, the successful marble, No. 3(39. being held by Mrs Marie Hame.r, "of Foxton. She secured £300 free of interest.
Am interesting wedding was celebrated at All Saints' Church on Tuesday, when Mr Harry Riley, youngest son of Mr A. D. Riley, of Wellington, was married to Miss Rachel Alice Reed, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs R. K. Reed, of Broad Street. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Dora Reed, while her youngest brother Mr Rupert Reed, was best man. • The following is the result of the Auckland Flying Club'is (second raoQ from Palmerston North, the birds being liberated by Mr C Aitchison last week. The winner covered the distance of 250 miles in six and a, half hours, "being three hours faster than the previous race: H. Stowell, 1052 yards Der mm., 1; D. Savage, 1057 yards. 2; C. Simpson, 1050 yards, 3; A. Hill, 1049 yards, 4: W. Gisly, 1048 yards, 5; H. Consill, 1047 yards, 6. The club will hold its teaching race from Palmerston mext Saturday, which will complete the Palmerston tosses.
