GREAT COMPETITION
There were magnificent exhibits in the sheen pens, and competition an all classes was keen.
Id Lincolns (in the wool), W. Perry, of Mastcrton. captured all the- best prizes; in English Leicetstera, S. It. Lancaster proved tho mast successful exhibitor, and scored both championship and reserve championship. In Shropshire Downs all the awards went to Marton, G. L. Marshall winning five firsts, throe seconds and two thirds, whilst W. J. Birch received one
third. The class was represented by only these two breeders. In Southdowns (in wool), Ellis Bros. of Great-ford commandeered the bulk of the wins, and also in the Southdown (shorn). W. J. Birch had no opposition in Devon lonnwool <and wcjn two fiiists and two seconds. FARMERS' CLASSES. In the farmers' classes G. L. Marshall, of Marton, gained first with two ones, Lincolns, under 18 months (long wool).
