Harness horses were well represented, but with tho exception of E. Jackson's (Stratford) Barney, which secured a third, all the prizes went to Palmerston. Knuwhata, Cambridge, and Longburn. CLYDESDALES. Competition in Clydesdales was unquestionably keen, and probably some of tho best horses in tho Dominion were exhibited. Particular interest was centred in tho exhibition of these heavy breeds, because champion South Island animals were pitted againstT some of tho best in the north, the main exhibitor from tho South Island being Thomson and Co. (Wai Rongoa, Clydesdale Stud, North Taieri). This firm captured tho Clydesdale Challenge Cup presented by the Union S.S. Co. Mr.!<"}.
