N.Z. OLYMPIC COUNCIL

WELLINGTON, October 30

A meeting of the New Zealand Olympic Council was held this evening. Lengthy correspondence was received from London and Sydney regarding Malcolm Champion's expenses at the Olympic Games at Stockholm.

Tho chairman, Mr. A. Marryatt, said tho money collected in New Zealand had been sent to Mr. Arnold, secretary of tho Olympic Council of Australasia. The N.Z. Council could not account for the bitch that had occurred but as Captain Horniman, manager of the team, had arrived at Fremantle they would soon Kayo hifi report to work upon. The hitch was duo to no fault of the New Zealand Council. Certainly, some of t.ho trouble* wa« caused through Champion's nomination being late.

The Council decided to leave the matter in abeyanco till Captain Horniman's report is received.

Tho N.Z. Rowing Association wrote that as their members were not eligible to compsto at Olympic Games they could not sen their way to make a levy for the Olymnic fund.
