THE SITUATION AT ADRIANOPLE.
AN INTERESTING SURVEY.
(Uuited Press Association. —Copyright.) LONDON, October 30. The significant silence of both sides in relation to the real situation at Ad- ' rianople, -coupled with the detention of tho first Bulgarian army there, is interpreted in some circles as showing that an unsuccessful attack has been delivered. Moreover, the Bulgarians , suddenly .mobilising tie rest of the reserves ia commented upon. The strength, i of the second Bulgarian army, operat- ! j ing beyond Kirk Kilisse, is estimated at four divisions, whereof columns are moving parallel along the coast towards Constantinople, consisting of cavalry supported 'by mixed detachments. Their purpose is to menace the capital, keep Nazim Pasha on the defensive, and free the first army of unwelcome attentions whilo the attack on Adrianople is again | : pressed home. | It is surmised thaT a division and a j j half of Turks from Kirk Kilisse reached Adrianoplo, leaving behind only the foro9 whoso remnant the Bulgarians are now pursuing. If so the Turks at Adricvnople number 50,000, and iNazijni j Pasha's troops apart from Adrianople j. 220,000. As Adrianople is short of food, 'rN^im has ppssiblv begun a march thither to relieve tho garrison, especially as tho Greeks have captured GrevenJt, placing the Turks between two .fires. ■ ■ ;. - - - ■■■ ■ •. . ■■
