The barometer has fallen considerably in the south. The winds have been variable, with westerly breezes predominating. Fair, mild and cloudy weather has prevailed. Present indications are for a falling barometer everywhere, freshening northerly •-• and westerly winds squally and'strong to gale at times about CJook and Foveaux Strait. Increasing cloudiness with rain following in most parts of the,country.
